L&D Capability Framework

Capability Framework

The role of learning and development professionals is changing significantly, with a move from traditional learning methodologies to innovative ways to design not just programs but learning pathways to engage learners and achieve the desired outcomes.

We undertook extensive research to identify the capabilities that L&D professionals need to be successful.  With the help of our members and the wider L&D community we identified over 200 capabilities across six dimensions.

This L&D Capability Framework is relevant and applicable to all learning and development professionals accountable for the design and/or delivery and implementation of learning initiatives for their clients or organisations.

It covers the behaviours that L&D professionals require for long-term success within their profession and industry.
