Adult Learning Principles
As learning and development professionals, it is essential that we respect and understand the unique learning requirements of our learners to ensure that our learning solutions achieve the desired learning outcomes.
Adult learning principles are rooted in andragogy, the practice of training adults, as opposed to pedagogy, the practice of teaching children.
When designing and/or delivering learning experiences, you need to embed these principles wherever possible to create a safe learning environment and help your learners learn effectively.
There are many versions of adult learning principles. Please click on the link for examples.
