Melanie Martinelli

Demonstrating Training effectiveness – how to make this bane into a boon

Have you ever told yourself that evaluating to show results is too difficult? Have you ever wondered if there are easier, more fun ways to build a cohesive chain of evidence that is both useful and credible to your stakeholders?

If either yes or no, then this session is definitely for you! If you answered yes above, you will go away with ideas and practical tips on how to evaluate across the four Kirkpatrick levels in a simple, fun and cost effective manner. If you answered no to the above question, you are either currently not evaluating enough and could start with these techniques, OR you have it all figured out and can get into a great exchange of ideas with like-minded people!

During this session we will look at 4 key principles for a more purposeful approach to evaluation. We will share success stories from our clients and easy to adopt examples that you can quickly start building into your own evaluation charter.

Melanie combines her entrepreneurial spirit with her 15+ years of experience in L&D to help build memorable & results-based learning experiences. Being a Certified KP Facilitator and Transfer Enabler, she applies strong business acumen & a deep understanding of what makes learning stick to support clients in being more strategic in their L&D initiatives. Melanie is the co-owner of the Learning Gym, where the focus is on upskilling learning professionals in the field of training design, delivery, and evaluation.

Adam Le Good

Presenting with purpose
A vital component of a successful presentation is a clearly formulated, well written goal. It is essential to the success of your session. Without it you have no specific direction to follow. No way of knowing what to include, what to leave out and what to emphasise.

Developing effective goals begins with defining the purpose of your presentation and building specific measurable goals based on that. In this session we will look at the different reasons for a presentation and develop effective learning goals.

Adam is a facilitator and consultant with over 25 years’ experience. Over that time, he has developed and conducted a wide variety of management and personal development programs for a broad cross section of clients.
As well as being the General Manager for the ILP Academy he still runs his successful Training business, Fundamental Training and Development.

As well as a degree in Psychology, Adam has completed a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, an Advanced Train the Trainer, a Creative Training Techniques workshop and a Diploma of Management. He is currently completing the new Certificate IV in Learning Design and Facilitation.

As an avid student of human behaviour, he is a certified practitioner of the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (Step I and Step II), the Herrmann Brain Dominance Instrument, the Team Management Systems, DISC Advanced, the Belbin Team Roles, CCS Cards and Collaborizza.

Adam is also a member of the Australian Association of Psychological Type (AUSAPT) and the Victorian Chamber of Commerce.

Outside of Learning and Development Adam is a father to the multi-talented Josh who also runs his own business and is known in musical circles as Calavera. He is also an avid photographer and is the current president of the Knox Photographic Society.
